Born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City), I started a career with Montgomery (Monkey) Wards after high school. Over the years I worked my way up from a clerical position in a regional office. I held positions in fashion and lingerie merchandising before being promoted to the Corporate Offices in Chicago. During my 16 years there I spent time as an Assistant Buyer, then as a Buyer in Custom Window Coverings, Bath Towels, Rugs and Linens. One of the most interesting things I did was to visit mainland China and Hong Kong in 1995, visiting factories and purchasing products for our stores to sell. I was then promoted to National Retail Sales Manager for the Window Covering Departments. I ended my 28 year career with them as the National Training Director for Soft Lines, traveling the country visiting our various stores. When we could see the end was coming for Wards, my husband Chuck and I decided to relocate to LakeHavasu to live near my Mother. She had been here since 1984 and during our visits we had noticed how much the city was growing. My Mother had been a REALTOR for 25 years in Kansas City and I always thought I would enjoy the flexibility (you know, being able to work 24/7!!) that real estate would offer. I started my real estate career in 1999 with McCulloch Realty and stayed on when we were purchased by Coldwell Banker. My daughter, Amy, also moved here with us. She is a special needs individual who now lives at New Horizons. Through her I’ve been involved as the head Swimming Coach for Special Olympics since 1999. We’re extremely proud to have son (Mark) and his wife (Elisabeth) and absolutely adorable granddaughter (Sabrina). They live in Kirkland, WA where they are both doctors.
